Obama the Antichrist

I’ve read a lot of blogs suggesting that Barack Obama could be the antichrist. I don’t think that’s true, or even possible, based on scripture that suggests that the antichrist will rise up from the old Roman Empire. But after watching his recent trip to Europe and the Middle East, it has proven one thing. The world is ready for the antichrist and will welcome him with open arms when he begins his rise to power.

I have always wondered how so many people could be deceived by such an evil person, especially after Hitler’s attempt to wipe out the Jewish people. But after watching the superstar reception that Obama was given, I can now see how easily people will willingly follow the antichrist.

What is it that the Europeans see in Obama? His position on the issues change from week to week. He says he wants to end the war. In reality, he wants to shift the focus of the war to Afghanistan. He has no experience dealing with economics or foreign affairs. Obama is simply a good orator, at least as long as he has a teleprompter. Yet, people blindly follow him as if he is the savior of the world.

Why are people so quick to believe someone like Barack Obama? 2 Thessalonians may provide the answer:

For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie (2 Thessalonians 2:3,4,7-11)

CNN’s Black in America

CNN has been running a series on their website this week entitled “Black in America”. After reading several of the articles I’ve come to a conclusion. There are a lot of paranoid black people in America. Take Anthony Williams for instance, a 39 year old former Marine from Atlanta, Georgia. Other than a few minor traffic violations, he says he has never had any trouble with the law. Yet, he still gets nervous when he hears the police are looking for a six foot tall black man because he fits that description.

Come on now! There’s about 125,000 black men in Atlanta and I bet a lot of those are around 6 feet tall! And you get nervous when police are looking for someone in a group that size? Would you get excited if you were told you had a 1 in 125,000 chance of winning the lottery? I don’t think so.

He goes on to say that he worries he will get pulled over and police will shoot first and ask questions later. It’s pretty safe to say that if you are respectful and do what they ask, they’re not going to shoot you. On the other hand, if you lead them on a high speed chase down I-85 and when they finally get you cornered, you run from your car as you yell something about the po-po, along with some choice expletives, you’re probably going to have a very bad day.

Vince Priester, an “iReporter” from Georgia claims “things really haven’t changed for black people”. Has he watched the news or picked up a newspaper lately? A black (bi-racial) man is running for President of the United States and currently leads in most polls, a black woman is Secretary of State, a black man sits on the Supreme Court and the mayor of his own city is a black woman. A black man or woman has every opportunity to succeed in this country. It’s time they wake up and seize that opportunity instead of clinging to the excuses of the past

I look forward to the “White in America” series that I’m sure CNN will run in the coming weeks.
